I don't play it anymore because I know too many words so it just becomes a struggle where I don't want to quit because I've gotten so far but I've also been playing for half and hour and I need to purposely lose to quit
I do like Shiritori Cat, the only thing I don't like is having to purposely lose so I don't get stuck playing it too long. (For me, after about 20 words it just gets tiring.)

Compared to the regular, Shiritori Cat has the advantage that it's fast-paced, and to me that's the whole point of shiritori-type games. But I agree with Pup72 120%: the lack of real milestones or goals makes it tedious once you play a little.
Also, necroposts are important and valuable in the forum ecosystem. Go, necroposts.
Shiritori cat is really fun, but it's true that it gets boring fast. I feel like the cats just use the same words all the time. Shiritori with players is a procrastination enabler like no other though!
In my case at least the matches don't get long because i will hit the "dictionary words only" a lot hehe.
