I didn't change any setting (at least intentionally). Now I'm seeing all the basic pronunciations that I already know.
Would be great to go back to only showing it for words or Kanji I don't know.
It seems odd that 欠 has no furigana. Could it be that it’s reversed, and only showing furigana for kanji you know?
The 'focus word' is correct. It is just other words in the sentence showing incorrectly.
I only have 欠 marked as known of the two.
There is a setting under sentences that specifically says "show furigana for all words in sentences" - could that be it?
Here is what I had. Toggled each, saved, re-toggled and saved. Back to the same settings, and still showing furigana.
Got it, thanks. There is a long-running bug where the kanji data gets "knocked loose", so I tried a rebinding. Let me know if that fixed it.
The list I was reviewing just exploded in number again... just now.
Even with both settings off, I'm still seeing furigana for sentences.
The process I ran your account through did not *change* any of your knowledge, it was just a rebinding of "hey, which kanji does this person know, and which words have those kanji in them".
Ok, going back to the original issue. If you look up that same sentence in the sentence dictionary, how does it appear in there? Is it just in the quizzes where this is happening?
Ok, I think I see the problem (well, both problems).
Pop open settings > vocabulary. Where it says "which kanji to show", you do not have "kanji I've studied on renshuu" checked, although that appears to be the majority of the kanji that you have in your account.
That fixed it! Still not sure how it got changed; perhaps an errant click
It is possible that my occasional super slow network causes some bug to be expressed when settings are viewed/saved, but 🤷♂️
