Vishal, this is for you:

ADHD, or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, can have different symptoms that fall into two main categories: inattention and hyperactivity-impulsivity. Inattention symptoms may include being easily distracted, having difficulty staying focused on tasks, making careless mistakes, forgetting daily activities, and having trouble organizing tasks. Hyperactivity-impulsivity symptoms may include fidgeting or squirming, difficulty staying seated, feeling restless, talking excessively, interrupting others, and difficulty waiting for their turn. Not everyone with ADHD will have all these symptoms, and they can vary from person to person.

This Is very educational. Good girl! Thank you! I love you, my little me kao_heart.pngkao_guts.png

Tourette syndrome is a neurological condition that causes a person to make sudden, uncontrollable movements or sounds called tics. These tics can range from simple movements like blinking or shoulder shrugging to more complex vocalizations like shouting words or phrases. People with Tourette syndrome often feel the urge to make these tics, but they can sometimes suppress them for a short time.

Symptoms of Tourette syndrome:

Common symptoms of Tourette syndrome include repetitive, involuntary movements or sounds known as tics. These tics can be simple, like eye blinking or throat clearing, or complex, like jumping or repeating words or phrases. Tics can come and go and may change over time. Some people with Tourette syndrome may also experience behavioral symptoms such as obsessive-compulsive behaviors, attention difficulties, or impulsivity. Tourette syndrome affects each person differently.

OCD stands for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. It is a mental health condition where a person has recurring thoughts (obsessions) that lead to repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions). People with OCD often feel compelled to perform these rituals to try to temporarily relieve the anxiety caused by their obsessions.

Symptoms of OCD:

Some common symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) include: 1. Obsessions: Persistent, unwanted, and intrusive thoughts, images, or urges that cause significant anxiety or distress. 2. Compulsions: Repetitive behaviors or mental acts that a person feels driven to perform in response to an obsession to reduce distress or prevent a dreaded event. 3. Fear of contamination: Excessive concerns about dirt, germs, or environmental contaminants leading to cleaning or washing rituals. 4. Symmetry and order: A need for things to be arranged in a particular way or specific order. 5. Checking: Repeatedly checking things such as locks, switches, or household items. 6. Hoarding: Difficulty parting with possessions, leading to excessive clutter. 7. Counting: Needing to count things or perform tasks a certain number of times. 8. Need for reassurance: Seeking reassurance or asking for validation repeatedly. Everyone's experience with OCD can be different, and symptoms can vary in intensity from person to person.

How is OCD different than anxiety:

OCD is a specific type of anxiety disorder. While anxiety involves feelings of worry or fear that are more general, OCD is characterized by intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors or rituals that someone feels compelled to do to try to alleviate their anxiety. In OCD, the person's compulsions are often related to their obsessions (unwanted thoughts or urges), and these behaviors can be time-consuming and interfere with daily life.
