In the grammar quiz „pre-advanced grammar (n2)“, and maybe in other grammar quizzes as well, the number of questions shown on the dashboard is not equal to the number of questions that I get actually asked. In concrete: Every time I end 40 questions, the number of a question on the dashboard reduces by just about 13, so one third as it seems.
In the three other quizzes I am currently working on i.e. the pre-advanced words, kanji and sentences, if I finish a set of 40 questions, the number of questions on the dashboard reduces by 40.
So what I‘d like to have is this latter behaviour also for the grammar quiz.
(I am using the web version of renshuu)
I don't do grammar here anymore, but I'm pretty sure that's because you have "Show multiple questions for each grammar expression in a single quiz" ticked in the schedule's settings. I believe that gives you 3 questions per grammar point. 13*3 = 39.
You are right with your guess, but why not show the actual number of questions instead of the number of grammar items?
The word, and kanji tests also test words and kanji in different ways, like showing translations, hiragana or kanji versions and ask for some other thing, but the number of questions is correct in these cases.

I actually don't have a problem with that at all. Would be a nice UX improvement :)
There's also the related issue of "Allow a term to be studied multiple times in a day (once for each vector ready to study)" causing the number of questions to display "inaccurately". This happens on any schedule where you're studying multiple vectors.
For example, I just did the reviews on one of my Words schedules, and they went from 30 → 21 → 15 → 9. Would be nice if it just showed 75 from the start.
I understand why it works like that, but it'd still be nice if it displayed more accurately to the total number of questions you'd get.
I think it's pretty similar to how "Show multiple questions for each grammar expression in a single quiz" works on Grammar schedules.
That is what is causing it - I may change the UI in the future, but it would require a not-insignificant amount of changes to change those displays from "terms to review" to "questions to do". It's one of those things that looks (from the outside) to be an easy change, but due to the way that renshuu's caching system is set up, it's anything but.
